Which integration should I use?

Freesbe connects to other tools in a few ways. Start at the top of this list and stop at the first one that does what you need: each one down takes more setup.

1. A built-in integration

If the tool is listed in Workspace settings → Integrations & apps → Integrations, use that. It’s set up in a few clicks, posts as its own bot and needs no code.

2. Zapier, Make, n8n or Zoho Flow

Not listed? Zapier, Make, n8n and Zoho Flow connect Freesbe to thousands of other apps without code. A flow can start when something happens in Freesbe (a message, a mention, a reaction, a new person, a recording) and can post messages, send DMs, react and make channels.

3. An incoming webhook

When a tool only needs to post into one channel, and can send to a Slack or Microsoft Teams webhook, give it an incoming webhook URL. See Post into a channel from another tool. GitLab works this way: see Send GitLab notifications to a channel.

4. An outgoing webhook

When your own server needs to hear about messages, channels, people, meetings or the punch clock, make an outgoing webhook. See Send Freesbe events to your server.

5. An app

When your tool needs to post in several channels, read messages, react, hear about DMs and private channels it’s added to, or add slash commands and buttons, make an app. Bots built for Slack move across with their manifest. See Connect your own tool with an app.

Only owners and admins can connect integrations, make webhooks and make apps. Everything an integration posts comes from its own bot, so nobody’s account is borrowed.
