Post Uptime Kuma and UptimeRobot alerts to a channel
Connecting either tool takes about five minutes. You need a Freesbe admin and an admin of the uptime tool.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Make the channel first, such as
#status-checks, and add the people who fix outages. - Pick the monitors. Only the monitors you add Freesbe’s webhook to post, so decide which ones are worth a card.
In Freesbe
Section titled “In Freesbe”- Open Workspace settings → Integrations & apps → Integrations → Monitoring and click Connect under Uptime Kuma or UptimeRobot.
- Name it and pick the channel. For Uptime Kuma, you can fill in its address so the cards link to their monitors.
- Click Connect. Copy the Freesbe URL (it’s shown once), and for UptimeRobot the Payload too.
In Uptime Kuma
Section titled “In Uptime Kuma”- Open Settings → Notifications → Setup Notification and pick Webhook.
- Paste the URL in Post URL, keep the body as application/json, tick Apply on all existing monitors if every monitor should post, and save.
In UptimeRobot
Section titled “In UptimeRobot”- Open Integrations & API and add a Webhook.
- Paste the URL in URL to notify, turn on Send as JSON, paste the payload in POST value, turn on down and up notifications, and add it to your monitors.
Check it works
Section titled “Check it works”Pause a test monitor, or point one at an address that doesn’t answer: a card posts when it goes down, and turns green when you fix it. Uptime Kuma’s own Test button posts nothing.
See Uptime Kuma and UptimeRobot for everything the cards show.
