Account on hold, under review or suspended
Now and then a workspace has to wait for us: to confirm who owns a new workspace, to check documents you sent us, to look into something before deciding what to do, or because the workspace broke our Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service. When that happens, everyone in the workspace sees a status screen instead of the app, with a reference number to quote when you write to us. Nothing is deleted while a workspace is held.
Verify the owner
Section titled “Verify the owner”Freesbe lets a workspace call, text, email and message its customers. To keep that safe for everyone, we ask the owners of some new workspaces to confirm who they are before the team gets started.
Why we ask. People answer calls and open messages because they trust who sent them. Knowing who runs each workspace keeps scammers and spammers off Freesbe, so your calls get answered and your messages delivered. It’s the same reason we verify whoever buys a workspace’s first phone number.
When we ask. Right after sign-up, when our automatic checks of a new account want a second look. It isn’t an accusation: plenty of real companies sign up from a shared office network or a new email domain. Until it’s done, the new workspace can’t invite people, get phone numbers or reply to customers.
What it takes. About two minutes, with your phone and a government photo ID: a picture of the ID and a quick selfie. The owner clicks Verify my identity on the screen and follows the steps, as in phone number verification.
Scan the QR code with your phone, or open the link on the same device, and take the pictures. The screen moves on by itself: as soon as the check passes, the workspace opens, your free trial starts, and we email you that you’re all set. It also counts for phone numbers, so you won’t be asked again to buy one.
Your ID stays private. It’s only used to confirm who you are. Nobody in your workspace sees it, and Freesbe doesn’t keep a copy, only that the check passed. See how your information is used.
Everyone else who joins in the meantime sees that the owner is confirming who they are, and gets in as soon as it’s done.
If the check doesn’t pass, we email you tips and you can try again from the same screen (see if the check doesn’t pass). If it still doesn’t, or you’d rather not verify this way, write to support@freesbe.net with the reference on the screen and someone from our team will look at it.
Waiting for your documents
Section titled “Waiting for your documents”Some things, like phone numbers, need us to check who you are first (see phone number verification). While we check what you sent, the workspace waits for us: you can read everything in it, but not post, call or change settings. Most checks finish within one business day, and we email you when it’s done.
To send us another document, click Send another document. It opens an email to support@freesbe.net with your reference.
Under review
Section titled “Under review”When something on a workspace needs a closer look, we put it under review before deciding anything. Chat, calls and meetings keep working. Until we finish, you can’t invite people, add phone numbers or reply to customers from the customer inbox.
Click Continue to Freesbe to go on to the app. We usually email the workspace’s owner about what we’re checking; replying is the fastest way to finish. Reviews usually take one to two business days.
Suspended
Section titled “Suspended”A workspace that broke the Acceptable Use Policy or the terms is suspended. Its people can sign in and read what’s there, but they can’t send messages, make calls or change anything. The screen says why, and we email the owner the details.
- Appeal. If you think we got it wrong, click Appeal this decision and tell us why. Quote the reference on the screen.
- Keep your data. Owners and admins can still export the workspace.
Other workspaces
Section titled “Other workspaces”A hold is on one workspace, not on you. If you’re in other workspaces, click Switch workspace on the status screen to go to them. Your Freesbe account and its other workspaces work as usual.
